Why is PH balanced hair care so important?
PH balance will directly impact the performance of your hair product and the way it leaves your hair after each use.  A non-PH balanced product will cause more damage to your hair by leaving the cuticle open; causing dryness, color loss, damage / breakage and bond degradation.  

PH balanced hair care is more expensive to produce and unfortunately most hair products are no longer PH balanced. As a result, some brands have “masked” or try to hide that damage through the use of coating ingredients.  This is why many people say that their hair feels worse after they stop using certain products – with the masking agents gone, your hair is now showing you its real condition.

All of RAINCRY’s products are PH balanced and are designed to close the cuticle after each use to help minimize product induced damage that results in healthier, shinier, stronger hair.

My scalp is sensitive and becomes irritated… is RAINCRY good for me?
This is another area where PH balanced hair care can be advantageous. A number of scalp ailments can help find relief through the use of PH balanced products.   Commonly resolved conditions may include: itchy / flaky / irritated scalp, scalp sensitivities / rashes, dermatitis, folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicles), sebum (oil) regulation and/or dandruff.  Although everyone is different, we always suggest a strand / skin test before trying any new beauty product.

Why do RAINCRY’s products have numbers on them?
RAINCRY wet products work a lot like skin care.  Each skin care product has a certain function – cleanser, toner and moisturizer.  Similarly, each product in RAINCRY’s PH balanced hair care collections also have a specific function.  The numbers are designed to help guide you step-by-step to help achieve the best results possible.

Can I use products from different collections at the same time?
Absolutely.  All of our collections are designed to be used interchangeably with each other.  Determine your concern (volume, smoothing, repair, shine) and feel free to experiment with which combination best suits your hair and texture.  For best results, use at least 3 steps to ensure that your hair gets the absolute best results.


I’m not sure which brush size I need?
For our round brushes, we have included a size guide on each page.  Look at the last drop-down tab, on the left hand side of the page called “Size Guide.”  Feel free to refer and print it out to determine the best size for your hair.

Which brush is best for my hair texture?
Hair brushes are a lot like make-up brushes – each brush is designed to do something different.  The SMOOTH 2.0 Collection is great for smoothing, polishing, reducing frizz and shine.  While the VOLUME Styling brush Collection is best suited for volume, waves and curl.  Determine your concern and choose a size that best reflects your needs.  Refer to our brush “Size Guide” for assistance.


How long before I will need to replace my brush?
That depends on a number of factors – frequency of use, general maintenance, hygeine and overall care.  With a little attention, RAINCRY brushes should become heirloom pieces and are hand crafted to the highest quality standards in the industry. 

How Should I Clean My Brush?
To clean your brush, use a wide-toothed comb to remove any excess hair from your brush. Briefly, rinse the brush and bristles with warm soapy water. Pat dry, wipe excess moisture so that any residue has been wiped clean of the handle and shank, and allow to air dry thoroughly. Once dry, it is also good practice to periodically spray isopropyl alcohol (available at any drugstore) to your brush to help sanitize.  Do NOT immerse the brush in water. This will decrease the performance and lifespan of your brush and void the warrantee. 

Why Should I Not Immerse My Brush in Water?
RAINCRY Professional brushes are made with the finest materials in the world- many of them wood. Despite being treated, submerging your brush in water for long periods of time will allow for the wood to absorb some of that water, causing the wood to swell. Later as the wood dries out, your brush will likely crack, damaging your brush and making it weaker. 

I just bought my brush and I find that it has a lot / not enough “Grip.” Is this Normal?

Your brush will usually take several uses before it will perform to its fullest potential. Brushes typically require upwards of 9 - 12 months before they perform to their maximum potential. This is the reason why many people have problems styling their hair- their tools aren't designed to perform to their fullest potential for almost a year. RAINCRY Professional Brushes however usually require 6 - 9 blow-drys before they are "broken in." After this "break in" period, you will notice your brush's performance really start to increase, allowing you to achieve those great hair styles that you are after.  This means that your brush will get better and easier to use with time.

Placing an order:
You can place an order by following these steps:

  1. Go to the product page and click "ADD TO BAG."
  2. You can review the items in your shopping bag by clicking the “Your Bag” icon in the top right corner of the site. Once you are ready to place an order, click the “Your Bag” icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click “Check Out” to proceed with your order. You can also remove or change the quantity of items.


Removing items from your cart:
Go to the “Your Bag” icon in the top right hand corner and click the "Remove" link under the remove column. Your shopping bag will automatically recalculate your total.

Changing the quantity of items:
Change the number in the box under the quantity column. Your shopping bag will automatically recalculate, indicating both the unit price and the total price of the quantity added.

  1. If you have not logged in, you will be directed to log in or create an account. Please enter your email address and click “Confirm to Checkout.”
  2. Select or enter your shipping address and preferred payment method.
  3. Shipping address: Enter your shipping address. Please type all information in English.
  4. Shipping service: confirm your shipping service.
  5. Payment methods: You can choose to pay by credit card, PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
  6. Click "Place order." Your order has been successfully placed when you see the final order confirmation page.
  7. After you have successfully placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email with your order details. This email is your receipt and can be printed for your records. The order confirmation email includes:
    • Your order number (the same number that appears on the order confirmation page).
    • Details of the products and corresponding prices.
    • Order summary including applicable credits and discounts.
    • Your shipping and billing information.

Modifying your order:
Unfortunately we cannot modify orders once they have been placed. You need to cancel your order and place a new order. Please note that you can cancel an order while its status is pending, confirmed or processing. Once your order shows as shipped or fulfilled, we cannot cancel your order.
